Abstract

This article aimed to analyze the contribution of children aged 5 to 10 years in school management. This theme is often strange, as everyone already wonders if such a small child can have an opinion. But one should not forget that childhood with empowerment and rights is something modern that has not yet been incorporated. Although it is relevant and justified by the reasons found in the cultural evolution of the human being. The contemporary adult is different from an adult 30 years ago, so the child also has its childhood changed and schools need to modify and rethink the way they conduct and manage child education and the early year of elementary school. In addition to official documents on school councils and theoretical foundations on child development, six articles on child participation in school management were analyzed to answer some questions such: how, within the school routine, to listen to children in their demands without affecting the study and the functioning of the institution? How to get children to express themselves in a way that can make themselves understood and to participate in an agenda vote? How to apply the interspersed decisions of children’s reasoning, ethical,e functional needs of the school? One possible solution to this is an urgent need to rethink the institutional way of functioning, based on the logic of adults, in favor of the child’s vision.
